Out of Network & Insurance Reimbursement
Our practice operates on a private-pay with superbill model. This gives clients more control over session frequency, treatment goals, and privacy—without limitations imposed by insurance.
If you choose to use your out-of-network benefits, we provide a superbill, which can be submitted to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Superbills include required information such as service dates, clinician details, and diagnostic codes.
Rates
Associate Counselors: $170 per 53-minute session (45-minutes for younger clients)
Fully Licensed Counselors: $190 per 53-minute session
Finding the right therapist matters! We offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so you can ask questions, share what you're looking for, and explore whether we'd be a good fit.
Intake (first session) appointments require additional time and are billed at a higher rate than standard sessions.
Fees for services outside of regularly scheduled therapy sessions—including care coordination, school meetings, and legal-related services—will be discussed and agreed upon prior to the service being provided.
Payment Methods
Credit, debit, and HSA/FSA cards are accepted.
All payment information is stored securely in Simple Practice, our HIPAA-compliant client portal.
Out-of-Network FAQs
Opting for private pay empowers clients and providers to collaborate on the frequency of sessions and create a personalized treatment plan. Unlike in-network services—where treatment is often guided by insurance—private pay allows for greater flexibility and individualized care.
Engaging in out-of-network therapy also offers an enhanced level of confidentiality.
If you’d like to check your coverage, the first step is to call your insurance company and ask if they reimburse for out-of-network behavioral health services.
To check your coverage, ask your insurance:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
Do I need to meet a deductible first?
How do I submit claims for reimbursement?
