What it’s like to work together
I work with teens and adults who are thoughtful, capable, and often carrying more than those around them realize. Many of my clients are high-achievers—professionals, parents, students, and leaders who are used to solving problems, pushing through challenges, and being the person others rely on. From the outside, they often appear successful. Internally, they may be struggling with burnout, anxiety, grief, self-criticism, or a sense that something important feels missing.
I also work with teens navigating depression, identity development, academic pressure, and the challenges of growing up in an increasingly demanding world. Others come to therapy while coping with profound loss, addiction in the family, or life experiences that continue to impact them years later.
My clients have usually spent a great deal of time thinking about their problems before they walk into my office. Because of this, I believe effective therapy requires more than empathy alone—it requires curiosity, strategy, and a deep understanding of how people change. Together, we look beyond symptoms to identify the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. My goal is to help you develop both insight and practical tools that create meaningful, lasting change.
My style is thoughtful, direct, and collaborative. I enjoy working with people who like to understand how things work—whether that's the brain, relationships, emotions, or behavior patterns. Therapy with me often combines reflection with practical problem-solving, helping clients make sense of their experiences while building a clear path forward. I integrate neuroscience and evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, and ACT.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in education and have spend 15+ years supporting adolescents, adults, and families through complex personal and professional challenges. This background allows me to understand both the emotional and practical realities that many high-performing individuals face.
I received my Master's degree in Education with a specialization in School Counseling from Seattle Pacific University.
